WWW Wednesday #31 – 10 November 2021

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam A. Stevens on Taking on a World of Words.

The three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’re read next?

Rebel Ideas by Matthew Syed

Still paused.

The Every by Dave Eggers

I’m reading this with online book club Pigeonhole just now. It’s the sequel to The Circle, although I haven’t read that and I don’t think it is necessary to understand The Every. It’s a very on the nose near future novel about an all-encompassing company which tracks every moment of people’s lives – for their own good of course – and a woman trying to infiltrate the company to bring it down.

This Charming Man by CK McDonnell

This is a sequel to The Stranger Times, one of my favourite reads if this year. It’s a humorous fantasy series about a newspaper focussed on the supernatural and extraterrestrial, and is perfect for fans of Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett. I’m really excited to have got access to this as an e-ARC via NetGalley, and loving every moment of it so far.

Hyde by Craig Russell

My review.

Before & Laughter by Jimmy Carr

My review.

Deadly Little Lies by Stephanie DeCarolis

My review.

?????

I’m not sure. Because of the stave format I’ll only be finishing up The Every next week, so I’ll see how I feel after I finish The Charming Man.

Have you read any of these? Do you have any recommendations for me to add to my TBR list? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
