WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam A. Stevens on Taking on a World of Words.
The three Ws are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’re read next?

The Black House by Carole Johnstone
Currently reading an e-arc. I really enjoyed Carole’s previous book Mirrorland and this is a similarly unsettling and absorbing story with an unreliable narrator.
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
I’m making good progress with this, although I am finding all the different characters hard to follow.

Immoral by Brian Freeman
The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite by Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba
I love the illustrations, but feel like the story is missing some substance. It’s a shame because I’ve enjoyed the Netflix series and was hoping for some more insight into the characters from the original comic books.

Black is the Colour by Seamus Connolly
A colleague at work has loaned me this. I like the sound of a Scottish lawyer seeking vengeance.
Have you read any of these? Do you have any recommendations for me to add to my TBR list? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
I think tackling War & Peace via audiobook is a great idea, although I guess it’s the kind of book you need to concentrate however you read it. I had to read Paradise Lost for my OU degree and the only way I got through it was listening to it on audio.

These books look good.
I need to see Season 2 of The Umbrella Academy. I haven’t tried to read it. I think I have a copy on my Kindle 🤔
Have a great week!

I read War and Peace so many years ago, so I think it might be time for a reread. Enjoy your books!
