WWW Wednesday #39 – 27 October 2021

Just one completed book this week, but I did spend the weekend completing my reading room in the new house with new wall art and bookshelves. It makes every moment of moving house worth while.

My completed home office/reading room.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam A. Stevens on Taking on a World of Words.

The three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’re read next?

Rebel Ideas by Matthew Syed

Still paused.

The Midwife’s Secret by Emily Gunnis

I’m reading this via online book club Pigeonhole, so it’s released over ten days. That’s the only reason I haven’t finished it yet, because otherwise I’d be racing through. Two families linked by an illegitimate birth and a fractious landlord/tenant relationship clash across three generations. Really well-written, well-paced and gripping. I’m loving this.

Hyde by Craig Russell

This year’s McIlvanney Prize winner, and a spooky gothic horror/detective story which is providing the chills in the run up to Hallowe’en.

The Appeal by Janice Hallett

My review.

The Judge’s List by John Grisham

Supply issues mean there was a delay sending out the copies for this readalong. However, I’m hoping my copy will arrive today and I can get stuck in.

Have you read any of these? Do you have any recommendations for me to add to my TBR list? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.

  1. I love the look of your new home office! I agree that moving is made worthwhile when we can make such big changes! Mine wasn’t as dramatic in the office area, but in other parts of my new space. Enjoy!

I like the look of your books, too. Enjoy!
