WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam A. Stevens on Taking on a World of Words.
The three Ws are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’re read next?

Rebel Ideas by Matthew Syed
Still haven’t uncovered the box this was packed in, so no progress.
Femlandia by Christina Dalcher
Not long started this via NetGalley ahead of publication later this year. Really intriguing beginning though.
The Heights by Louise Candlish
I started this yesterday with online book club Pigeonhole. Really strong start, looking forward to seeing how it goes. Has the odd side effect of getting the soundtrack to In the Heights stuck in my head although the two are entirely unrelated beyond the similar titles.

The Lighthouse Witches by CJ Cooke
I read an e-ARC of this via NetGalley and really enjoyed it. Due to be published 30 September and I’ll publish my review nearer the time.
Reprieve by James Han Mattson
Another NetGalley e-ARC. This wasn’t what I expected, it’s not as much of a horror as the cover image and blurb suggested. Publishing 5 October so again I’ll wait until nearer the time to publish my full thoughts.
The Liar of Red Valley by Walter Goodwater
Publishing 28 September, so review will come later. But, I really enjoyed this and I’d recommend looking out for this dystopian-fantasy-magical realism treat.
The Last Girl by Goldy Moldavsky
A smart and funny horror which delivered for me. My review.
The Island House by Amanda Brittany
A group of strangers trapped in an isolated hotel go missing one by one. My review.
Panic As Man Burns Crumpets by Roger Lytollis
A non-fiction memoir of working in local newspapers. My review.

The Rising Tide by Sam Lloyd
This starts today via Pigeonhole. It sounds interesting.
Have you read any of these? Do you have any recommendations for me to add to my TBR list? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
Panic As Man Burns Crumpets has got to be one of the great all time titles for a book! Although I remember reading in a local paper once a piece with the headline “Man Falls In Hedge”.
